Aetna

Digital Content Management, Content Design & UX Writing

Aetna is a CVS Health business that provides health care information and resources to more than 36 million people. Aetna offers traditional, voluntary, and consumer-directed health insurance products, such as medical, pharmacy, dental, and behavioral health plans. Aetna’s customers include employer groups, individuals, college students, part-time and hourly workers, health plans, health care providers, governmental units, government-sponsored plans, labor groups, and expatriates.

As an Advanced Digital Content Designer on the Aetna UX team, I design, develop, and implement user content and content strategies for Aetna’s website, iOS app, and Android app. I serve as the content lead for initiatives such as homepage, site navigation, account login and registration, profile and preferences, and site search. I design several features simultaneously, then support implementation by updating and publishing content in our enterprise content management system (CMS). And I led an enterprise-wide audit of all Aetna digital content for a regulatory compliance review.

Content Design at Aetna

This short video is an example of end-to-end content design work I completed at Aetna. First, I worked with design, product, and engineering teams to understand requirements and technical capabilities. Then, I designed content alongside the design team. Next, we presented to stakeholders, iterated on our work based on their feedback, and reviewed with them again for final sign off. Finally, I entered all content into our content management system (CMS) so our engineering team could implement our work seamlessly.
